The main character is like me (analysis)

  All of us read books and always in good book there need to be interesting and colourful main character. Character is very important part of good book. And many many people start to compare themselves with a character. That's what our group (me, Alexandra, Dariya, Dariya, Serafima, Mariya, Vasilisa) did. And then we shared our information. All our characters were different.

  Alexandra is reading a book "The Cats Warriors: Moonrise". The main character of the book is Firestar. It is cat, leader of Thunder clan. The first similarity is that she and the cat are leaders. Firestar is the leader of Thunder clan and Alexandra is the leader (president) of our school. Also Firestar and Alexandra like stars. The difference is that cat lost his dear cats, but Alexandra didn't.

  Dasha (Usynina) is reading a book "Alice in Wonderland". The main character of this book is Alice. Dasha thinks that she is crazy and creative like Alice. We can see this on some home tasks like when we need to do a video. Also Dasha likes to travel and Alice too. Dasha travels a lot. And Dasha said that she like animals like Alice. She has a cat. Also the difference is that Dasha thinks that sometimes she is not so brave. 

  Dasha (Kudelya) is reading a book "Pollyanna", the main character is girl Polyanna. Dasha thinks that she is similar with Polyanna by that she doesn't like to sleep, she like nature and they are similar in the hair colour. They are different because Pollyanna's parents died, but Dasha's are alive.

  Sima is reading a book "Black Beauty", the main character is Black Beauty. Sima thinks that she and horse always analyse situation. Also she always look positive like Black Beauty, maybe we can see this on some tests. And Sima thinks that they are hard-working, we also can see this in many english home works. The differences are: hair colour, the horse is more sporty than she, the horse's mom died, but Sima's is living now.

  Masha is reading a book "Manyunya", the main character is Manyunya. They have similar names and they are interested in vocal.The differences are: age, Manyunya had just one friend, but Masha has many friends.

  Vasilisa is reading a book "The Invisible Man", the main character is the invisible man. They are similar because they have a sense of humor and we can see this on our lessons. The differences are that the man is hiding his identity, but Vasilisa doesn't do this, the invisible man is strange, but Vasilisa is not.

  Almost all found more similarities than differences and similarities were positive. I think that all characters are good in different things and we can not say what character is better.

The History of English Literature

  The Norman Conquest made a break in English literature and language. The old Anglo-Saxon language was with German speech, complicated grammar and many inflections. During the Battle of Hastings there were two languages the language of the upper classes - Norman French, and the lower language is English. In 14 cent. there were a new language of King Alfred, there was no grammar and many inflections, also there were french equivalents, legal terms, dress and courtesy. Then Causer thought that Anglo-Saxon language is a bad language, the Classical Anglo-Saxon was with Wessex dialect and it was in Winchester. Then was the Chaucer's English. The source of the modern language is in East Midland, in cities, like Cambridge.

"The Question"

  Now we all know some tips how to read fast and effectively, it is very useful for us. One of all tips was: "Try to ask yourself questions on which you wold like to know answers". I think it is very good idea, because you always remember this question and you will try to know answer, but to know answer you need to read the book and it helped me to read the book more often than I was doing it before. I am reading a book "The Mysterious Affair at Styles" by Agatha Cristie and my question is: "Who murdered mrs. Inglethorp?".

  Mrs. Inglethorp could be murdered by two people, how I think. I think it could be dr. Bauerstein, mr. Inglethorp.

  It could be dr. Bauerstein because he bought the poison, he went to other city many times. But then I read that he is a german spy and he did not murder mrs. Inglethorp. I was sure that it was he did not do it.

  Also it could be her husband: he didn't deny that he bought the poison, he went out in evenings and didn't tell why in court, but I knew that it wasn't he because it would be very easy, because all family said that it was he. But Poirot proved that it was not he.

  Now the son John was arrested and I do not know why. I think that I will know the answer on my question very soon. It's very exciting.
