The ideal school

The school is the place where you have have been spending most of your childhood. Obviously, you didn’t like some things in your school. And you have wanted to be teached in the “Ideal School”. Now I am going dream about some things that should be in that school.
If I was in charge of making classrooms, I would have made them very comfortable and with many screens. I would make tables with screens that will be used as notebooks and schoolbooks. And that’s another change: there will be no paper schoolbooks and notebooks, there will be screens everywhere and all your notebook information will be stored in a cloud storage. Teachers would be replaced by robots with A.I. and you won’t have any homework. The lessons, of course, will be more interesting.
I wish that I have learnt in a school like this one. It would be very exciting.

Customer service

For now I will be an owner of a supermarket. To make my shop popular and comfortable for people to visit, I need to have some customer services.
For example I can put some chairs near the exit. If somebody wants to wait for another person inside my shop, they would be happy to wait on those chairs.
Also I can reduce prices on some products may be four times in a year.
I think some of the good customer services would be that the shop works 24 hours a day. It would be very useful if somebody returned from a flight at night.
In my shop customers would have a chance to pay by credit cards.
And I think that it would be a good idea to have a web site, where you can see what's in stock.
I would like to see those customer services in every supermarket. And I would definitely go more often in those shops.

Vocabulary Design Picture Description

On the picture I can see a customer, who is standing in a supermarket near the cashier. The man wants to buy some bags and the cashier asks the man what bags does he need. The shop offers the man two choices: paper or plastic bags. But I think that the man isn't sure what bags are better, because plastic bags are bad for environment, but cheap and paper bags are expensive, but not so bad for environment. So the man stands there and thinks, even cashier is getting bored. But cashier is polite, so she doesn't say anything. After a while the man makes a decision to buy paper bags. The woman sells those bags, maybe even for redused price.

Revision

On monday we have  presented our first project in this school year. We needed to make a breaking news episode based on information from our Student Book. On the lesson I have listened to five breaking news episodes. I have listened to Dasha Usynina, Dasha Kudelya, Alexandra, Vasilisa and Serafima.
First of all I think that Vasilisa needs to work on grammar. Because she often used grammatical structures where they don't belong. Also had issues with pronunciation of words.
Dasha Kudelya had problems a little bit with pronunciation and grammar. So the same mistakes as Vasilisa.
Alexandra needs to work on pronunciation, grammar as well and also she forgot a part of a text.
Serafima had a good speech but she had some issues with grammar and she I think that she looked in the text too many times.
Dasha Usynina did a good job I think. She had some mistakes, but not many.
I think each one of us definetly made a good breaking news episode and confirmed his level of english.

Breaking news

Hello. My name is Kirill Romanov and you are watching the "BBB News". You can see here the best, brilliant and breaking news.
When a volcano erupts, most people want to get as far away as possible, on the other hand, german engineer Martin Rietze grabs his camera and tries to get as close as he can and stay alive at the same time! The ground beneath his feet is shaking and there is a deafening roar like a plane taking off. He can't stay this close for too long because the gases and acids will destroy his camera, but Martin   Rietze waits just long enough to see flaming hot lava and ash explode out of the nearby crater and gets the perfect shot.
People who live in in the area where the Catatumbo river meets Lake Maracibo have dark clouds most of the year. Clouds crush into each other and cause a violent lightning that can last up till 10 hours.
There is a man named Aron. Aron had gone climbing alone many times before, only this time, he hadn't told anyone where he was going. Aron carried only a backpack containing a small first aid kit, a knife, a video camera, one litre of water, and a few snacks.  Aron had been climbing all day and was about to stop, disaster struck; a 365-kilo boulder moved and trapped his arm against the canyon wall.  Was no way he could move. On the fifth day, Aron reached a decision to do the one thing -the only thing-that could save his life: He decided to cut off his own arm.  When a rescue helicopter crew finally spotted him, the rescuers were amazed to see Aron walking back to his truck. He hardly needed them to rescue him! He also works as a motivational speaker, helping disabled athletes and troubled teenagers.
It was at 10 am on 12th April, 1961 when Radio Moscow interrupted scheduled broadcasting to announce something truly historic and magnificent. "Here is our special news," it stated. The first cosmic spaceship named Vostok 1 with a man on board has orbited around Earth from the Soviet Union. It orbited the Earth once at a speed of 27,000 kilometers per hour for a total duration of 108 minutes.
The ships flight path took it up to space and over the Pacific Ocean, South America, across the equator, and the South Atlantic before re-entering the Earth's atmosphere and landing at Engels.
The Soviet Union had beaten the USA in the race to get the first man into space and Yuri Gargarin had become that man.
Hurricane Katrina was one of the most severe storms ever to hit the Atlantic coast with a wind speed of more than 270 km per hour. When the eye of the storm missed the city for about 72 km, everyone thought that the worst was over, but they were very wrong. On Tuesday, 23rd August, 2005, a tropical storm formed over the Bahamas, about 560 km east of Miami, Florida.  By August 25, the storm had strengthened and become Hurricane Katrina.  Residents of New Orleans had no idea that within days, 80% of their city would be underwater in one of the worst disasters in US history.
It was Kirill Romanov with you. Goodbye. And watch BBB news for more breaking news.

It's great to live in the country

I live in Russia one of the biggest counries. Living in Russia is not very good, but not bad. I will tell you "for and against" things of living in Russia.
First is that in our city we have not very good air. It is the biggest problem of our city.
Second is that we have not much nature in our city.
Third is that our country is not beautyful, the houses, buildings and other places, things are ugly.
The plus is that we have many lakes and forests.
I think our country is not great and I think that I will go to live other country someday.

Making the lessons interesting

Lessons are very important for us, but many children do not understand thaand just rhink that they are boring. And I think if the lessons are boring than it is bad. Many teachers try to make them better.
I think that our english lessons are good, but I can think of some things.
First of all I think that we can do more work in kahoot, because it is interesting.
Second is I think on the reading lesson we need not just to watch TED videos and write esses, but to do creative work, like drawing posters, or making videos.
I think our lessons are good, but they can be better.

Final Topic 6

Hello I will tell you about crimes and something like this.
Cyber crime is very popular now. Hackers are highly intelligent programmers who can easily break into your computer system and infect it with a virus or a worm. When you creating an email account you shouldn't use your age or home information. And choose the smart and difficult to understand combination of letters in your password. When you have created your email don't open the emails from people you don"t know, just delete them. Finally, keep your software updates and run anti-virus scans regularly.

Did you watch detective TV series? On popular crime drama series like CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, the latest scientific methods are used to collect and analyse physical evidence and solve horrible crimes in record time. But just how realistic is all this? So, Ben .. is your job anything like what we see on CSI? Well.. mostly no! On the show, investigators seem to end every work day with a dramatic arrest, but sometimes our cases aren't solved for months. Also, on CSI you see that everything is being done by one or two people. So what's a typical day like for you, Ben? There's no typical day because every case is different. Finally, what are the best and the worst parts of your job? Well, this job definitely isn't for everyone. Some crime scenes can be very distressing. On the other hand, it's wonderful when a case has been solved and your evidence played a role in that.

Vandalism is a crime, but can we say that this is a vandalism? Street Art divides public opinion; it is seen by some as a way to brighten up our communities while it is considered by others to be nothing but vandalism. For example, “graffiti knitting”, creating colourful decorations for lampposts, parking meters, cars and statues. Lego “repair work” was created by German artist Jan Vormann. Jan spent three years travelling the world, fixing crumbling walls and monuments with Lego.

Graffiti may not be what first comes to mind when you think of Saint Petersburg but that may be changing Grafffest, The International Petersburg Graffiti Art Forum,is a new exciting and innovative art festival held Saint Petersburg every summer. Artists and designers from all over the world create their graffiti masterpieces in the streets of the city . Grafffest is a great festival that brings people together.

Agatha Christie was a famous English crime writer who is best known for her detective featuring Hercule Poirot and Miss Jane Marple Agatha was born in 1890 in the seaside town of Torquay in Devon England. Her family was well to-do and conservative. Although Agatha never attended school she didn't lack education. She taught herself how to read when she was only four. Agatha was a shy child and, having problems expressing herself verbally, turned to writing and became very good at making up stories. During the First World War, Agatha worked as nurse in a hospital and it was during this time that Agatha Christie got the idea of writing a detective novel. Although she finished the story in a year it wasn't published until five years later The Mysterious Affair at Styles introduced 13 the retired Belgian police officer, Hercule Poirot, to the world and was a great success. Following this, Agatha would write more than 30 novels featuring Poirot. And according to the Guinness Book of records, Agatha Christic is the best-selling writer of her time with over four billion books sold throughout the world. In 1971, she was awarded the high honour of Dame of the British Empire before passing away peaccfully on 21st January 1976.

Neighbourhood Watch is the UK's largest voluntary organisation. Its objective is to prevent crime and make sure that no one has to feel afraid, vulnerable, or isolated in the community in which they live. But it also tries to improve the quality of life in the community and can involve other activities such as caring for elders and environmental work.

Final Topic 5

Our world is full of things that are unknown for you. And you can try to experience them. For example:

And the experience of changes. Mahatma Gandhi once said 'Be the change you want to see in the world'. This is exactly what this person has done. Liz Murray has shared the stage with world leaders like Mikhail Gorbachev and the Dalai Lama as an international speaker. It's hard to believe that at the age of 16 she was homeless and sleeping on park benches and underground trains! She went back to school and through dedication and determination, she eventually won a scholarship to a top university. Since Liz graduated from Harvard in 2009, she has been speaking at events to teenagers about staying away from drugs and gangs.

Someone's words about experiencing an Indian wedding: My best friend Alisha first invited me to go with her to her cousin's wedding in India. It sounded so exotic and I wanted to come with her! When we walked out of the airport, a large group of Alisha's family were waiting to greet us. After having greeted. The night was the Sangeet, the first night of the wedding celebrations. The following afternoon , it was the Mehndi party. Mehndi is the decoration of the hands and feet with a dye called henna. On the morning of the wedding Alisha surprised me with a gift - a green and gold silk sari. It was comfortable to wear. The groom arrived wearing white and riding white horse. Then the bride and groom , during the ceremony, walked around the fire or exchanged flower garlands. We ate lots of traditional food. I felt lucky that I had an experience in Indian wedding.

And the experience of a celebration in Russia. lvan Kupala Day is an ancient holiday still celebrated in a lot of countries, including Russia. It is a huge celebration of the sun and takes place every year around the summer solstice, the day the sun reaches its highest point in the sky. It is a popular and fun holiday filled with a variety of rites and ceremonies connected with water, fire, and plants. On the evening before Ivan Kupala Day, people look through their gardens or wander around forested areas looking for fern flowers. Legend also has it that when the fern flower blossoms, you can see all the treasures of the Earth.

Also the experience of living in foreign country I am Stephen Marshall, I had a great opportunity to study and live in a completely different Mexico, because I have been learning Spanish for three years now and I wanted to improve my language skills. The best moments of my experience are communication with the host family. I still have difficulty understanding social etiquette. Last week, for example, a new Mexican friend invited me to dinner, and I came right on time. My host looked a little surprised. Later I learned that Mexicans usually come to the reception not less than half an hour later. Without a doubt, it was the best experience in my life. I became more confident, patient and sociable, and my Spanish improved even more than I expected.

Or the UK etiquette experience. If you are meeting someone for the first time
1. extend a hand to say hello.2. Also, it is important to make eye contact while speaking with someone; otherwise you will seem rude or insincere.3. In the UK, a smile is a sign of friendliness and even politeness.4. Keep a distance of about half a meter from people, unless you are in a crowded place.5. If someone invites you to dinner, bring a small gift, such as flowers, a good sign of gratitude. Be sure to come on time and if you are late, call your landlord to apologize.6. In addition, it is very important to keep your mouth closed while chewing.7. If you eat in a restaurant, expect to pay the waiter a tip of 10 percent of the bill, but not if the service is secondary.

If you didn't want to experience that things, there are many others that I didn't tell about. And of course there will be some for you.

History of English literature

The Norman Conquest made a break in English literature and language. The old Anglo-Saxon language was with German speech, complicated grammar and many inflections. During the Battle of Hastings there were two languages the language of the upper classes - Norman French, and the lower language is English. In 14 cent. there were a new language of King Alfred, there was no grammar and many inflections, also there were french equivalents, legal terms, dress and courtesy. Then Causer thought that Anglo-Saxon language is a bad language, the Classical Anglo-Saxon was with Wessex dialect and it was in Winchester. Then was the Chaucer's English. The source of the modern language is in East Midland, in cities, like Cambridge.

Final Topic 4

Hello. I will tell you about health of the body and the mind.
For example: we can have problems with mind called phobias. People can have different phobias. To understand the reason why some people have phobias, first we need to understand fear itself. But when someone have phobias first and the most danger problem is in their mind. So, what the solution for someone who has phobia? The answer is- the person should to face their fear little by little. With time, the brain will change how to react , and the phobia will dissapear!

And this is the man with healthy body. While no one is looking, Frenchman Alain Robert jumps up an office building and starts to climb the wall. He hangs from balconies, crawls along ledges and grips the edges of the glass and concrete. There's no rope and no safety net - he's using only his bare hands! Alain has climbed over 85 of the tallest structures in the world. He can climb up eighty storeys high but, amazingly, Alain suffers from vertigo, he feels dizzy when he's up high! Alain's nickname may be Spider-Man, but he is no superhero. He's just an ordinary man living a very dangerous life!

Here is some tips to have healthy body. Next time you wake up with a sore throat or a few spots, perhaps you don't have to run straight to the doctor. You could try opening the kitchen cupboard instead! TEA: Can you feel a headache coming on? Boil some water and make yourself a nice cup of tea! GINGER Do you have an upset stomach? You could try chewing a piece of ginger. VINEGAR People have used vinegar natural remedy of over 6,000 years! It's great for minor cuts or itchy rashes. HONEY Next time you have a sore throat, try swallowing a spoonful of honey. Like garlic, honey helps destroy bacteria.

And another thing that could help to have healthy body. Russian people enjoy bathing and the banya, or steam bath, is a very old and popular tradition in Russian culture. Even today, almost every village and town in Russia has its own banya. They usually have at least three rooms; an entrance, a washing room, and a steam room. The banya helps remove toxins from the body, relieves stress, and may even prevent and heal a number of illnesses.

Now we have many gadgets and they can cause health problems. Earphones play the music directly into your ear canal. The type of music doesn't matter, but the volume on your MP3 player does. It can cause hearing loss.  Sending text messages is as easy as moving your thumb. However, too much texting can cause thumb arthritis.  A mobile phone is full of bacteria. When you press it against your face and ear, it can lead to skin problems such as acne, skin infections and rashes.  Computers are useful tools for research and entertainment. However, staring at a computer screen for an extended period of time can cause eye strain.
You can be healthy if you want it and you can't buy health.
